Where was the petitions and the interest when Toya was put up for eviction? there was none and BB continuously stated to the housemates this week that NO ONE WAS SAFE so tbh we aren't going to add a front page article about a bunch of online fans calling fix, if we did there would be a new article every week...

All this does is damage the shows chances of being renewed due to the growing amount of moaning Ofcom speed dialling so called fans.

The argument is that producers lied to the fans and even presenters that the power alliance were immune. They did not do so for Toya's power trip

Also, Toya was voted in by the house, Ashleigh by the public - it's a cop-out that she is nominated as a consequence

That's a fair point (not about the presenters, emma barely knows when twists are going on) but BB did repeat several times over the past few days that no one would be safe which could have been a hint that the power alliance weren't as safe as they assumed.

I agree here.

It looks bad/messy nonetheless that the presenters had no idea which leads me to the conclusion that they made this twist up overnight

That's true. Several threads picked up on the relentless repetition of "No one is safe". It's just that everyone presumed it was referring to Helen's finale pass as opposed to the power alliance themselves.

There was no public involvement it was all in house.

During that Toya and Matthew power couple week the 2 housemates that ended up being saved were Kimberly and Steven.

I still can't believe they have done it. We picked Ashleigh to be power housemate. In the control room she was told she would be immune from eviction as will her alliances. Only they can nominate. All a complete lie. It really has frustrating me I wish they would stop doing it!!

Public or in-house makes no difference unless money was involved.

Why are you saying this when you know full well we were made aware of what was going on the night she became PH with Matthew? The viewers were led to believe on the main show, on BOTS and through press releases that they were immune. They then just went back on that, and now Ashleigh, who was also meant to be "the most powerful PH yet" ends up for eviction.

The damage is being done by the production team, firstly by taking the viewers vote out of the eviction process and then by going back on what they've told the viewers. When the presenters are even asking "WTF?" don't you think something is up?

They repeatedly said they were immune to us, and included the fact in press releases.

If you read my second post in reply to Pete I said ok fair enough point that we were told beforehand, but BB has given hints this week that not all was as the power alliance believed tbf...

All of this said throughout the past few days

“Housemates, Big Brother has an important announcement. The Power has returned. This time, there will be nowhere to hide and no escape; it will be more powerful than ever before. Housemates, get ready.”

"This is only the beginning"

"No one is safe"

I was only posting above the reason we haven't posted a front page article about this supposed fix, not everyone believes it's a fix either and the same people that are happy with Ashleigh getting voted a power housemate with an unfair, unclear poll are the exact same people now complaining about this twist.

They've really screw Ashleigh over by taking way her immunity and then allowed a nominated hm to escape possible eviction with her being up instead. A scandal.

Whether it's a "fix" or not. They've misled the viewers with other statements they've made on the show, on BOTS and in press releases. Even the presenters were baffled. This is what people are peeved about. You don't have to call it a "fix"

This time, there will be nowhere to hide and no escape. Ashleigh has escaped the previous 2 evictions.
This is only the beginning. To be continued Friday.
No one is safe. Helen will give her free pass to Steven on Friday and so Helen loses her immunity.

The money generated with just Steven up against the others would be plenty but BB are a bunch of greedy barstewards by throwing a popular housemate in the mix like Ashleigh so they can get all her fans cash to save her. It is so transparent that BB are simply cashing in to maximize profits.

Yeah I think so the twists are ways of getting certain housemates up for eviction against each other to generate as much profit as poss so for the viewer its just a hot mess but unless ratings drop dramatically nothing will change.

Can't see how they are generating profit when less people are watching and less people are voting. Hell, they took the voting out of the eviction process last week.

Why do you keep saying this? Have you actually seen the official ratings that's just been released, the ratings are climbing from the start of series..

And they are clearly making enough profit through advertising revenue and voting or they wouldn't have stopped voting for the past couple of evictions.

They probably stopped the voting beause they aren't making much from it anyway. Oh, and also to get Marlon and then Danielle/Ashleigh out.

I really doubt they would stop it for that reason, the show needs to be making money.

And you completely ignored my point about the ratings. The fact is a few people online saying they aren't watching does not reflect the public.
