Her father is a music teacher who used to teach at Salford University and I believe her mum is/was a teacher

Miss Wood was raised in a £300,000 bungalow in Bolton by Dr Wood and his ex-wife Mary, a primary school teacher.

Her brother Gareth, now 29, married and works as a nurse. Another brother, Daniel, went on to university.

Miss Wood became pregnant at 16 by electrician David Warburton, who was just a year her senior.

When she gave birth in November 2003, a month before her 17th birthday, she listed her occupation on her son s birth certificate as housekeeper and was allocated a council house on an estate near the centre of Bolton. Dr Wood and her mother divorced shortly after.

In 2008 she entered the world of escort agencies and Premier League footballers which afforded her a dramatically different lifestyle.

You don't have to be from a impoverished background to be badly behaved. I went to a private school (on a scholarship) and there were people with bad attitudes from all backgrounds- rich and poor

Nobody forced her to do that. It was her choice, probably to make easy money. Plenty of single mothers with one child manage to work in respectable jobs without resorting to prostitution. (Not that I have anything against prostitutes as a rule - I just don't think her child should be used as an reason as to why she became one.)

Do you seriously think she did it for fun? Obviously we don't know the scenario but it must have been dreadful for her to turn to prostitution. Nobody in the right mind would do it "for the lols".
