Default BBAUS : 7th Series Confirmed

Quote:
Big Brother will be returning to Australian screens in 2007, Network Ten and Endemol Southern Star have confirmed.

Ten is expected to broaden its appeal out from its traditional 16-39 target demographic next year, and the channel's premier reality show will be adjusted to take Ten's expected new target demo, adults 18-49, into account. "Uncut" elements and "Adults Only" episodes will not be featuring in the show's 2007 run; instead, Ten is emphasising the programme's ability to draw audiences in a variety of demographics.

"Big Brother is an enormous, enduring franchise; no other program delivers the volume of television for and ratings share among viewers under-40," explained Ten chief executive Grant Blackley. "We are delighted to confirm Big Brother will be back in 2007."

The network also noted in its 2007 launch announcement that regular episodes of the show's 2006 run won their timeslots in the adults 16-54 demographic.
