They just don't seem to get him and speak really meanly about him. A lot of older men with hearing problems are like Gary and the evil pieces of s--- in the house just slate him and lose their cool with him rather than being patient and loving - Gary is great, and a good human. I wish I was in the house so I could tell those evil f---ing scumbags what's what.

Gary is an enlightened being after his brush with death, he is totally fearless and comfortable in his own skin, seems like a real down to earth genuine nice guy. Brain injuries must change people, so he cannot help his erratic moments, I also doubt he would intentionally hurt others by his behaviour. I was saddened to see him stumble in the garden, he is just trying to live his life as independently as possible like the warrior he is.
The younger people should think more carefully about how they treat him because they too will get old and frail one day. They should cut the guy some slack, he is only being defensive because people are being mean to him through ignorance and intolerance, maybe they are jealous of him because he is such a free spirit. If only they knew how lucky they are to be sharing the same space as him. I would love to be in that place right now,I bet he has some very interesting stories to share about life and himself.
