I'm no David fan, but I honestly believe this is his type of cocky 'banter' and he doesn't genuinely believe this. However, knowing the voting public, he's probably got a point. Zoe went out in the last series for making one comment. Ash called someone a maggot and got away with it every week.

....personally I find nothing whatsoever attractive about David. He is neither good looking or Fit looking. Anyone pumped up like he is looks just vile,egotistical and vain.

Same, I really don't see the attraction! It's even worse when he opens his mouth I don't really find any of the male housemates attractive.
