A lot of people wouldn't have heard of this group as they wasn't big here but the 2 who have died were already famous in South Korea having appeared on The Voice and other talent shows before forming ladies Code.

Fans of South Korean pop group Ladies' Code are in mourning after a second member of the band died as a result of a road accident.

Kwon Ri-sae, 23, who was known as Rise, had been unconscious after requiring urgent brain surgery after the accident, which happened as the girls were returning from television interview.

She died in hospital earlier today.

Another member of the enormously popular girl band, Go Eun-bi, 22, known as EunB, died shortly after the crash on Wednesday.


Rise rose to fame after taking part in Miss Korea 2009.

She also came to popular attention by starring in a talent show, Birth of a Great Star.

Ladies' Code were formed by Polaris Entertainment in 2013.

They launched their career with the mini-album Code#01, released in March last year.

The group created great interest in South Korea even before they released any recordings.

The group's label, Polaris, said the group were returning to Seoul from a schedule in Daegu in rainy conditions when the accident occurred
