Inspired by Jarrod's amazing house work, I'd figure I'd give it a go too. Below are some of the images of the 2015 Big Brother house. The exterior of the set remains the same, as does interior regulars such as cieleing heights etc. 2015 introduces a new layout to the house with distinct rooms and colour schemes. I'd like to here what you lot think!
ENTRANCE TO THE HOUSE It features a warm, inviting appearance, however this is deceptive of the time to be spent in the house by housemates. A spiral staircase suggests elegance and modernity, while a wall of clocks enforces the idea that Big Brother is always watching, at all times. Raised, curved seating provides housemates with different areas to sit and hold a conversation, perhaps to reveal secrets, or discuss issues they're having with one another away from the rest of the house. It's very similar to Jarrod's Time warp.

The only thing I'd say is the mirrors look too high, apart from that - I look forward to seeing more.

THE COSY
The cosy is a small seating area situated between the kitchen and main living room. It's intended purpose is for housemates to sit and talk about one another as they watch others around the house, perhaps some heated arguments would arrise here due to the openess of space, with which some could be caught out. The area holds the housemates images too, watching over the housemates as they sit in the cosy, placed to enhance the development of bitchy behaviour from one another. This is juxtaposed by a pristine finish, which is white and glossy. The use of statues enhances the idea of luxury and purity, while the seating adds a fresh pop of colour. A lit up acrylic stand will also continuously flash colours of red and green to provoke the discussion of nominations, winners and losers. If some of the prize fund is removed, a bar will permanently re-colour red to indicate loss of money. APHRODITE Note the frequency of greek statues. This is where we meet Aphrodite. Similarly placed next to The Tree of Temptation.. and more recently Iris, Aphrodite may be goddess of beauty, but this beauty can be found only on her outside. As inside Aphrodite is mean and manipulative. Aphrodite can be found throughout the house (see future images) to ensure she stirs the pot. Each week she'll set a housemate or housemate secret tasks with which to stir conversations, provoke annoyance or gain items, interest and secrets from others. If the chosen housemate(s) are successful they will receive an authoritative power over other housemates in the house. However this lasts for only 24 hours, which could lead to vulnerability through the possibility of being put of for eviction from other housemates. Using the Big Brother poll app, from a selection of 10 options each week, the viewing public will pick 1 option from which they deem to be their favourite. From this, the 3 most popularly voted for of the 10 possible outcomes will go forward to the successful chosen housemate. From there, they will decide one of the three possible options. Thus giving them strong power over the others. Examples include taking some of the prize fund, having a luxury budget whilst other's are given basic rations, and the ability to exclude one housemate's nominations. However, this Big Brother has intended all possibilities to be based by public decision, to rule out any foul play. Aphrodite's chosen housemates will also be chosen via a poll. However once one housemate has been chosen, they cannot be chosen again, to ensure near all housemates have the ability to play the game. If chosen housemate(s) fail their task they face dire consequences including the exclusion of different rooms. The inability to nominate or the unallowance of anything other than basic rations. Again, the top 3 will be decided from a vote of 10 options via the viewing public. Last edited by Kai Anders; 09-09-2014 at 04:33 PM. |

THE KITCHEN / DINING AREA
This year's kitchen is slightly smaller than we have seen in previous years. It's design is minimalist and sleek, with hints of wooden textures to make the place feel warmer. Across from the kitchen is a small acrylic dining set, which has enough seating for at least 14 people. The kitchen also features colourful stools with which housemates can sit on as well as the store room, whereby Big Brother will deliver their food. |

A good effort so far. Not sure of the route you're going but from what you've started it would be quite interesting actually if one year BB didn't put a big sofa set in the house and just had small spaces around the house for no more than 4-5 HMs to gather - and perhaps do the same with the dining area and have small sets of table and chairs rather than one space.

Thanks! The photo's make it look way bigger than on plan.. I believe it's to do with my perspective on the camera, should post a plan to enable you to see the space more clearly!

LIVING AREA
The living area has been given a gothic red and black colour scheme, juxtaposed by a pop of fresh colour such as yellow and purple, as well as modern interior design choices. This chaotic room is situated far from the entrance and has an enclosed, tight appearance which will make housemates feel as though they are constantly on the edge. The small bathroom is located behind the seating. THE DECIDER In conjunction with Aphrodite, The Decider is the chosen Housemate stated in previous posts. Here a housemate will sit on The Decider's chair, in front of other housemates. It is their decision to hold responsibility of the house for 24 hours. The Decider holds god like status and is immune from the week's eviction (as decided by public) However, if the Decider fails his or hers task or goes against the rules of Big Brother, there will be dire consequences. Equally, if a housemate who is not The Decider sits on the chair etc. They too will face severe consequences. The space is private and can only be obtained by Aphrodite's and the publics, chosen housemate. Last edited by Kai Anders; 14-09-2014 at 12:16 PM. |
