Sorry it's not the video but found this:-
Where's the instructions? 14:30 GMT, Day 53 (Monday 16th July 2001) -- by Neil Wilkes Paul took charge of constructing the barbecue last night with Helen as his glamorous assistant, but the challenge proved to be a bit too much for the pair. On Sunday night Paul was entrusted with the mammoth job of constructing the barbecue given to them as a reward for the successfull completion of the sausage task. "I can make myself useful," Helen said, offering her help. "I'm sure you can," Paul grinned. However, they soon became distracted by the sexual overtones of "shiny nuts" and "screwy things" and half an hour later the bits and parts still didn't resemble a barbecue. "It's not rocket science," Paul groaned, scratching his head over the instructions. "It can't be difficult, now can it, pet?" "I don't know, with you and me doing it..." Helen said sounding concerned. But, just as the construction started too look good disaster struck. "I've got it!" Paul exclaimed triumphantly, only to watch the structure crumble to pieces seconds later. "This is dumb and dumber build barbeque!" Paul groaned And while the other housemates sipped their beer Elizabeth became increasingly frustrated by the delay. Fortunately she was prevented from intervening by Dean. "But I want my dinner," Elizabeth moaned. Eventually, after an hour of head scratching, huffing and sexual innuendo Helen and Paul proudly wheeled out their creation, leaving only a few spare nuts and bolts behind. |

Thanks SO much Di. Unlike a couple of TIBB-ers who shall be nameless, I didn't ever see the BBQ scene, although I know it was pivotal. In the house on the Thursday night, when they were discussing how they had realised they had had fallen for each other, Paul said something like:
'Yeah but it must have been something else, we must have been giving each other signs, I mean, just by building a bloody barbeque???' :hell o: |

Thanks for finding that Di. It brought back memories cos I was one of those who actually watched it, but was so engrossed I forgot to put a tape in. If I could go back in time.
If I remember correctly they were so 'together' whilst they were trying to do it was obvious something was definitely going on. Think this might have been why I was so engrossed. |
