P Diddy hopes to play James Bond

P Diddy has revealed that he wants to be the first black man to play James Bond.

The rapper and music producer has only ever made cameo appearances in movies but believes that the iconic role will help to kick-start his career in acting.

Speaking at MTV European Music Awards, he told the BBC: "One day the time will come for a black Bond and hopefully I can audition for it. It's a dream of mine to play a great role like that."

Asked about current 007 Daniel Craig, Diddy added: "I love the Bond they have now. He's a great actor and I think they made a great choice."

They shouldn't choose the actor just cos of the skin colour. It's discriminative if they say "We're looking for a black actor to play Bond"
