Considering he doesn't seem that bothered about the future of BB, I doubt that live feed is on the cards sadly

I will not be recording this
I am to busy at 6PM
it will be on

Everyone can record shows
even by using a VHS on a timer

tapes are still sold in Poundland.

Why are they even thinking of ditching BB when it brings them their highest ratings?

This is the guy we intrust BB to? lol

MY GOD!

Cant believe I even watched that non interview, I was expecting exciting stuff from Viacom and all we got was talk of the "award winning Milkshake" and how the channel is going to focus a lot more on kids tv to cross promote with Nickelodeon (600 hours I believe he said!)

Not really what a BB fan wants to hear.

Seriously did they all sit in their boardroom discussing what they would talk about on their big announcement on prime time News and think childrens tv that airs at 6am was the most exciting thing they should really focus on?

I'll say it again I wish ITVBe had bought BB.

I don't think they want to get rid of BB, just not be reliant on it which could be a very good thing.

It might mean they'll cut down on the ridiculous idea to air two series of CBB a year.

Or unfortunately I suppose it might mean they cut out the main summer series.

He has already said in other interviews he's leaving Big Brother to the programming team, which goes back to Ben Frow and co.

All Ian King is going to go on about is what will be expanding and added. Not current or past shows on Channel 5. He's just an overseer at the end of the day, impossible for him to have a say in every single program C5 and his other channels manage.

I wouldn't be excited at all as fans for Big Brother, he or Viacom doesn't give a toss about it and it's clearly not in their plans for Channel 5! Their 'big plans' don't seem to extend further than an expansion of children's TV, Geordie Shore to be shown on the channel as well as MTV and Neighbours/Home and Away omnibus' to be shown on VIVA (which is now SpikeTV).

I suppose on the bright side more fresh ideas could be developed in the slot which Big Brother frees up, but then again Channel 4 promised 'fresh formats' and we don't seem to have gotten anything that good

Or they'll just let it fizzle out along the way without no investment or care and then never bother renewing it again.

The channel bosses having less interest might mean that the producers are left to continue the shambles they've already been doing.

They need a kick up the arse.

Why on earth did this little man not even mention BB in that interview especially CBB which almost peaked at 4 million viewers only 9 months ago?

Has that actually gone over his bald head?

When promoting a channel surely you play on the good, he doesn't have to big up BB so much to make it seem like Channel 5 relies on it but ffs make it look like a part of the Viacom/Channel 5 family.

It really is the black sheep of programming and is purely *****d out for ratings these days. Not one person gives a **** about withholding the quality of the show or even realise they have a cult and iconic show on their hands.

He's also said that we shouldn't expect them to buy anymore shows because they're 'distractions' (which is basically saying Big Brother shouldn't have been brought in the first place)
