Hi,
I am a bit confused by something, at work we have a database listing ALL the hardware in the school like computers and TV’s etc and when a something new comes in you have to add it to the database and then you have to select the status of it for example you can select: OK Damaged Surplus And my question is what does Surplus mean? |

Surplus means 'extra' in the 'more than you need' context.
So if something is 'Surplus to requirements' it means it isn't needed.

That's why you get Army Surplus stores.
