Default Ebay bans sales of Ceramic Tower of London poppies

Do you think this is a good move or a restriction on free trade?

There was nothing in the sale agreement to say you cannot sell on..

Do you mean they've banned people reselling them? is it hurting a charity to resell?

No doubt some people will have ordered a few to sell on.

Not sure how I feel about it, they have already paid their money for them which will go to the five charities.
I am more concerned about the high postage costs.

The sad part is if people have bought a 'few to sell on' I bet they try selling them for a lot more than what they paid and the charity won't see a penny of it.

These are quite big. We have one in our office at work, so the p&p is going to be massive.

I feel like if someone wants one, they should buy it properly so that the money can go to charity. That's the whole point.

If they were paid for originally and there are non left now,so the charity are'nt losing out on anything.I can't see the issue.Once you own something you are free to sell it.

I agree..to a point.
I have no objection to paying the £6.99 Postage for one..but they are charging me 5 times that amount for the five I have ordered.
Now we all know that it won't cost nigh on £35 to have them delivered.
Shouldn't whinge really..but I wouldn't mind of the extra they make on the postage went to the charities.

I don't think people should be profiting from the sale of these poppies, although the organisers are at fault if there was no restriction on how many you could buy. The idea that people bought them to sell on for profit doesn't sit well with me.

Yes it's a bit strange to think of people just profiteering from them, I think they were underpriced initially, £45- £50 would have been a better figure and a max of 2 per customer.

Medals are sold all the time and militaria is a huge market on ebay. Once these get into the hands of the folks that bought them it will be an open market
