Default Eammon Holmes heading for the jungle .

He's famed for teasing his wife Ruth Langsford - and now Eamonn Holmes is using the same tricks on This Morning viewers.

Eamonn sent the show's fans in to a frenzy earlier today when he dropped several hints that he could be heading in to the I'm a Celeb jungle.

"I'm going out to Australia today. I'm going to the jungle – I can't reveal why," the popular presenter revealed.

He also joked that he was worried about tics, following reports that the camp had been infested by deadly beasts.

And he didn't stop there.

During a discussion about this year's jungle line-up, which includes presenter Melanie Sykes and TOWIE star Gemma Collins, Eamonn smiled: "Let's not forget about the late entries."

Could he be preparing to go in to the jungle as a wildcard entry? Or - in usual Eamonn style - is he just having us all on?

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off on Sunday at 9pm
