Sigh. You are not going to die of bloody bird flu. Yes, there is a slim chance that you could develop complications and die of any flu, and yes, that chance is MARGINALLY higher with certain strains, but it's still minimal if you are a healthy person with a healthy immune system.
You're more at risk every time you get into a car. Does anyone legitimately worry about getting into a car? Or crossing the street? *waits for inevitable, pointless, flu vaccine drive across Yorkshire* Yet another payday for the pharma juggernaut. |

If it's H5N8 then we can't get it anyway- yet, that's why the cull to stop it mutating.
If it does then there is the potential for a pandemic, most anti viral vaccinations carried out are for only 3/4 strains of influenza. Flu is not nice for anyone, but for the very old, very young or immunosuppressed it can be particularly dangerous.
