Very nice Sticks, but I am a bit worried about the enlarged left atrium on that particular potato heart.

I feel it needs an echo cardiogram asap, and probably a valve replacement.

Or, alternatively, you could

and don't forget the mayonnaise!

My OH has sold his business today (hopefully) and will be taking early retirement the beginning of April. He says that having him at home will be like Valentine's Day every day I, wait to be convinced of this. I have very mixed feelings about:
a) being married to an old codger whose retired. (I am not that old, I've just had a hard life, honestly)

b) having him around all the time. he might want to know why I spend hours on the computer in the day as well as at night, for instance.

c) going on little outings to the garden centre and to the supermarket together. OMG, spare me please.

Any advice, or shall I give in and buy a plastic rainhat and get a perm?

Well, I didn't like to say, but it is time you lashed out on a new plastic rainmate. They are handy things but the silver jubillee logo's are barely recognisable on yours, and after all they only cost a couple of quid.

As for the perm, I think you could carry it off. Are you going to go to Classy Cuts, or do you want me to nip round with a nice cheap and cheerful Twink home perm?

I could do you a nice

so why not go the whole hog and match your new raunchy image with going platinum??

As for me, well OH did purchase a card. Any hopes of a romantic meal were dashed by an after shopping trip to the chippy.

We sent the evening as usual in a stupour in front of the TV. I missed Patrick Keilty..........by that time I was dribblin' in front of the telly.

What a showbiz life I lead!

Well, my hubby is definately in my good books!!

He sent chocolates and a bouquet of flowers to work.

(My boss reckons the novelty will soon wear off - hubby and I have only been married two and a half years!)

I spent Valentines day learning that I have to have Root Canal work on my teeth.

I have had the temporary filling and my mouth was still frozen until 20:00

I have to find £61.64 according to the estimate.

I got the potato on 13th July 2001, when Helen was up against Josh. After photographing it, it went into a casserole and was very tastey

From a colleague at work, potential rhyms for next year:

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss
but I slept with you, 'cause I was pissed

I thought that I could love no other
Until, that is, I met your brother

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head.

Of loving beauty you float with grace
If only you could hide your face

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot
This describes the things you're not

I want to feel your sweet embrace
But keep that bag upon your face

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes-
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

I see your face when I am dreaming
That's why I always wake up screaming

My love you take my breath away
What have you stepped in on the way?

My feelings for you no words can tell
Except for maybe "go to hell"

What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime

Nice!
