Alot of you on the forum are big Leona fans but for me I think she lacks quite a bit. She has a fantastic voice but for me she has no personality at all. She doesn't come across as a people person to me, she comes across as quite shy and timid. Also I think there is some sadness to her or some story which we do not yet know. You can be the worlds best singer but if you lack people skills that will hinder you somewhere down the line. The X Factor has been about the full package...meaning voice, personality, work rate, looks etc. Leona has the voice and the rest is debatable.

Now I think she will be a huge hit and sell quite some songs but doing things like interviews, radio and promotional things I think she will struggle. I think she seems quite happy letting Simon have his say but she really doesn't voice her opinion on much and it would be nice to start seeing that imo.

Just been listening to her songs below off a website & listening to all of them don't really blow me away at all but I wouldn't say I am her number 1 fan so all of you that do love her...what are your views on these songs?

I think she has a great personality, yes she has an amazing voice, but thats why a lot of people like her. Some may like her cause shes the best there etc But I think she has a very likable factor about her.

Leona’s voice is absolutely amazing, there’s no denying that. People who aren’t such big fans of Leona might say that some of her earlier songs aren’t as good, but if you listen to her later ones they’re mind-blowing. And to me that shows she’s improved, which furthermore proves she’s worked hard and is therefore very determined.

As far as her personality goes, I don’t see how her being quiet is a bad thing. If anything she comes across as humble, modest, kind and even more likeable. I wouldn’t be such a fan of hers if she was extremely arrogant and very loud and brash. To me, the fact that her personality’s like that makes her more real. On top of that I don’t see how that will affect her ability to give an interview, if anything she’ll be more honest in one.

She's good, but maybe not quite as good as Simon makes out.

I believe, in X Factor, with the public, there is a certain amount of going along with what the judges say when it comes to voting and opinions.

I do think that she has a great voice. But I do agree, she has no personality. Simon speaks of her as if she is God's gift. I personally don't see the big thing about her.

I don't think her being shy is really going to have much bearing on her singing career, there's many people in the music business who are quiet/boring in interviews and it's not held them back.

It's not personality she's lacking it's charisma.

There is no doubt she is a great singer and she is certainly one of the best female singers we have seen in the competition. But I still feel she is not the next Christina, or big superstar that people seem to be making out because she lacks something.

Also Simon has been making her out to be something new and something different and I don't like how websites about Leona disappeared overnight. Now I know alot of others also had things taken down or moved but they make Leona out to be this new talent and what the x factor is meant to be...finding something new and different but Leona has had alot of help on the way in comparison to Ben or even Ray who we all knew was an actor before the x factor. The way the media and coverage seem to have hidden certain things makes the whole thing seem dodgy.

I feel if the public knew about her previous music talents (which doesn't have to be a bad thing at all) it would seem less fixed. Now I am not saying that this is down to Leona herself...but more likely down to Simon and the producers and where all the big money is.

Right first off all i agree with you on Ben and Leona being successfull, im going to get shot here but IMO i still think Ben is better (it's my opinion i no everyone will moan).

Leona will win she has huger fan base then Ben, Ray and the Mcdonald's, i don't mind Leona winning but i would rather Ben won.

Why does Leona deserve it more then other's?

I think 3 out of the final 4 acts deserve to get something out of the competition now whether that is doing cds or stage work who knows. I think Ray is clearly a performer and he would suit theatre/musicals down to a T and I also think he would be happy with that outcome so being "loud" is a plus not a minus.

Leona has been the most ranted about but I think people are expecting alot from her and she still is only 21 so she has a very long way to go. Some competitions make a person and some break them. With Leona they are bigging her up to be the next Christina or Whitney or Mariah & I personally think that is wrong, first of all it influences peoples votes and it also is making people think they are playing a part in this next "superstar". Don't get me wrong she is a talented young girl but she is NOT there yet.

Normally we would hear Simon saying " you should never do a christina/whitney/whoever track" because you will always come off second best but this has never been said and all her versions are not equal or better than the original artists in my opinion at all but you start to think yeah she is great because that is how the judges are influencing you.

At 21 and this talented with the right management she could be super in a few years but with the wrong management she could be gone in a few years...or more likely over in America if Simon has his way. Once a person is hyped up alot people fall into the trap of believing whatever people say rather than forming their own critical view on each artist.

I know alot of people liked Nikita over Leona because Nikita had more persona to her and she was a more warmer person which attracted fans. Leona's shyness can sometimes come off as being cold and even to an extent ignorant to people who don't know much about her. Everyone has their own opinions and always will like different things muscially and otherwise but it is good to see others views and try understand them aswell as your own personal views.

There's always that sterotype with quiet/shy people that they are cold but with Leona I see her just as someone who's not really hugely confident in her abilities and proably not the best conversationalist, she has the same kinda responses to the judges each week.

I think she is on par with some of the singers you've mentioned, I even thought her 'I will always love you' perfomance was at a level almost as good if not as good as the the Whitney version.She might only be 21 but Christina was only around 17 when she was launched and her voice has not changed much from back then.If you're good enough you're old enough in my book and whilst she may mature as an artist I don't see her changing much from how she is now.

Its all down to opinion and perception really, for me I think Ben is better than Leona. Don't get me wrong Leona has got a good voice and good control but its those type of whining and over-acrobatic voices that I'm not a fan of. I think she'll definetely win it although I dont necessarily think she deserves it because I think she doesnt have anything to offer other than her voice, and having the x factor is about more than that, plus shes going to get a record deal anyway

And Jay, I know what you mean. But Leona does have a better voice overall.

Leona does has a 'good' voice, But there's to many female artists in the music industry now with 'good' voices. She doesn't make me think WOW whenever she performs, I just think 'Yeah, she's cool' That's not going to make me go out and buy her records, she does lack something, Passion I think.

Ben on the other hand, I can't wait to hear what he releases after the X-Factor, he so different to any other artists out there now, I think he will do really well. Go Ben
