Default Axe attack in Plymouth leaves man dead and several injured

Quote:
A man has died and several were left injured in an alleged axe and knife attack in Plymouth, police said.

Officers were called to the Kings Arms pub on The Green, at Tamerton Foliot, at about 01:30 GMT.

A 27-year-old man died at the scene and two others were treated at Derriford Hospital for their injuries, a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said.

He added weapons had been seized and a 20 and a 21-year-old man had been arrested.

the axe laws in the UK are shameful. anyone can just walk into a store and buy an axe, without even any kind of background checks or psychological testing. shameful.

I hope labour will solve this easy access to axes problem when they get into power next year. why should any human be allowed to buy an axe without the proper checks?

I see what you're getting at there Alex, but to be fair, if this has been two men with guns you can be pretty sure more than one person would be dead.

Not to mention when axe crime in the UK is as common and out of control as gun crime in the US then he can make a comparison. As it is, he can't.

It's those axes with silencers on them that you need to watch out for, you'd never even hear them coming...

Wow that's pretty gruesome, we don't blink at the mention of a knife crime now which in itself is pretty damning but an axe?... it's still 'horror film' territory :/
