What made you want to go into the House?
It's a great opportunity, I love the show. You get to meet people from all walks of life and you get paid for it. It was January and I wasn't doing anything so I thought, 'Why not?'

You've done reality TV before on The Big Reunion. Will that make this easier?
Well, it definitely helps. That was different because it was filmed. You've got no control over this and you're on camera 24 hours a day. You've got to be mindful of what you're doing. Even just little habits like if you pick your nose, but you can't be like that 24 hours a day. So I'm going to need a straight jacket to walk around in!

Would you like to get back to music if the show goes well?
It'd be nice to do some TV or more acting stuff. At the end of the day it's Big Brother, not some Shakespearean film. You've still got to prove yourself when you come out. I've got new music, so if I get to a point where it looks like I might do well with it, then I'll probably do that.

Will you sing around the House?
Probably without knowing it and it'll probably be something really embarrassing in the shower!

Is there anyone you've seen on the show who you thought handled it well?
Sometimes it's the ones who are quite quiet that end up going really far. Say, for example, someone like Abz. He just kept his counsel. But then you've got someone who makes a complete plonker of themselves and goes and wins it!

Is there anyone you'd love to share the House with?
I'm good pals with Suranne Jones because I went to school with her. I don't know if it's her kind of thing but we always have a good laugh so it would be good to go in with someone like her. We've known each other since we were kids and she is very funny. We end up just being like kids together!

What traits do you dislike in others?
For me, getting a good night's sleep is very important. I'm quite a light sleeper and it worries me that with all those other people in one room there will be snoring, if I'm not asleep and someone starts then I'll be awake counting every snore.

Do you have any bad habits yourself?
Yes, I snore myself so I'm a complete hypocrite! As long as I get to sleep first!

Have you done anything to get ready?
I told myself I was going to get really in shape and then it was Christmas and that got in the way and then I had a cold so I literally went to the gym yesterday for the first time. I'm hoping this will make me more disciplined!
