Nadia Sawalha is to play Uriah Heep in a new Sir Cameron Mackintosh West End production of Dicken's classic David Copperfield' .
The actress and ex-CBB housemate yesterday attended a press shoot outside the Theatre Royal in Londons Drury Lane with the notable British Theatre Producer, where she embraced him passionately and linked him as she smiled continuously for the hordes of media cameras and thronging crowds.
Asked how she felt about winning the coveted role, Ms Sawalha gushed; "Oh, absolutely thrilled and honoured. Cameron is - and always has been - my hero and I simply adore him and all his catalogue of absolutely fabulous productions. I am, as you might say; 'ever so 'umble, Mr Mackintosh."
However, after the event closed and Mr Mackintosh had left the venue, the actress was overheard ranting about the producer to her sister Julia during a conversation on her mobile phone. According to several sources, who do not wish to be named, Ms. Sawalha called Mr Mackintosh; "a tight 'arsed twat" and a "miserable 'sod", and said that his productions were a "pile of commercial crap". The sources went on to say, that Mr Mackintosh then unexpectedly walked into the room and Ms. Sawalha fell quiet, put away her phone and ran up to him and flung her arms around him, saying; "Oh Cameron, thank you. Thank you. I am so grateful. I'll never forget this kindness."
The above incidents led some witnesses to speculate whether Ms. Sawalha's next role should be Brutus in a re-make of 'Julius Caesar. Watch your back Sir Cameron!
