He's asked to be killed before, I dont know what they were waiting for?

He's got to be one of the most evil people to have ever lived.

I see no sense in forcing him to stay alive.

It costs money to keep him alive, so just let him die.

There exists no punishment evil enough for him so let him die.

Plus, I'll get points in the DeathList.

Maybe the whole liberal rehabilitation ideaology has had its day, maybe it's time we moved forward by turning backwards.

One has to admit that since the liberalisation of our Juidicial system which started in the 60's we have become a nation of apologists.

Our Prisons are full to bursting, we have reduced Life sentences for the most serious crimes imaginable to 15yrs, 20 yrs, sometimes 25 yrs. We seem to think everyone who commits a crime is a victim of their upbringing or their circumstances and that their crimes can be washed clean with the briefest of prison terms.

We even let maximum security prisoners out on bail with electronic tags long before their sentences have been completed. And we don't even imprison some offenders for crimes like assault and burglary.

Before we can even contemplate giving someone a whole life tariff we have to have a flipping parliamentary debate and now thanks to the EU we are not even allowed to impose that particular sentence.

As a Society we are fearful of imposing punishment at all levels from smacking our children , corporal punishment at schools and handing down long prison sentences for the most serious of crimes.

We abolished the death penalty because as a civilised Society we should not have to kill someone to punish them for the gravest of crimes. When we see pieces of slime like Brady and Hyndley given comfortable cells and 3 meals a day and TV, radio, etc.. it makes me want to puke..

They should of been "encouraged" to reveal where they buried those innocent children and I mean "encouraged" in the loosest possible meaning. After that they then should have been strung up, good riddance to evil vermin.

and this is where I started from in this post... should we actually not now be far more severe in ALL our sentencing with much longer prison terms (Build more Prisons if we have to) to punish and deter others from committing crime.

Murderers,Paedophile rapists,Cop killers and Terrorists should surely be put out of their misery or locked up for life (and I mean Life, with no hope of parole)

We have lost our way in all of this and have become soft as nation allowing evil to prosper in all it's forms, we have allowed our Juidicial system to turn into a pantomime instead of dispensing proper justice that respects the rights of the victims.

A major rethink is long overdue in my opinion.

I don't think we'll ever become a nation that's after blood again. What would killing them achieve apart from quenching the nations thirst for brutal vengeance? I agree prison sentences should be much tougher though.

From my obsession with american serial killers, this is my first time hearing about this couple. Reading their wiki got me interested, time to do more research.

I hope he doesn't die, doesn't sound like he's had enough suffering yet, few more years where it worsens would be nice, maybe if it gets so bad, we could strike a deal with him, locations of the bodies and he'll be euthanized. Then once the bodies are found lock him in solitary until he starves to death.
