It was an attempt to portray Ed Miliband as a “man of the people” by filming him alongside his wife in a small, austere kitchen of their north London home.

But the move backfired after it emerged the room was in fact the smaller of two kitchens in his £2 million mansion, which he uses only for preparing “tea and quick snacks”.

The apparent gaff saw Mr Miliband dubbed “Two Kitchens” – a reference to John ‘Two Jags’ Prescott, the former Labour deputy leader – and mocked by Conservative opponents.

My Grandmothers home in Ireland had 2 kitchens, one was the main kitchen and then there was another that adjoined a dining room too.
What on earth is the matter with that.

If the voters decide how to vote on what kitchen a politician has then really all powers that be need to really help this country.
I have come across some ridiculous things in my short time already but gosh, hey, let's hear how many bathrooms he has too and indeed all other politicians while we are at it.

It is still a kitchen, whether it was the bigger of the 2 he may have or or not.I am also likely sure the kitchens were in place when they acquired the property too,unlike anyone actually 'choosing' to have 2 jaguar cars.

Does anyone really believe that senior politicians live in basic human dwellings,I certainly don't and never have either.

Can't say I know any people that live in two million quid houses with 2 kitchens to be honest.
Makes absolute no difference to me personally how I would vote.
Just think it is quite odd how the pair if them were posing in the smaller more austere kitchen to make us think they were more like us..I am naturally nosey and want to see what the bigger kitchen looks like.

I agree with you Josy, it is just a kitchen, however, I am posting because I want to know what a dementor is as? I don't watch Harry Potter films or read the books.
