this can be caused by the blocking of the suns warmth, meteorologically speaking

Yeah, from Essex too. I didn't get to bed until 5am, so set alarm to get up in time, saw the clouds and thought sod it, going to have a bit of a lie in then. Later in the day it was quite sunny
