Default Family Guy Moving to ITV2 in Autumn

Quote:
Family Guy is to move from BBC Three to ITV2 in the autumn.

ITV has confirmed that Seth MacFarlane's popular cartoon will premiere new episodes exclusively on the digital channel in a multi-year deal, beginning with its upcoming 15th season.

The BBC previously stated that Family Guy will remain on the channel until 2017. It has yet to be confirmed if this will now just be limited to repeats. Double bills currently air daily on BBC Three from 11pm.

ITV2 will also become the free-to-air home of MacFarlane's American Dad!, The Cleveland Show and new series Bordertown.

ITV's Director of Television, Peter Fincham, said: "Seth MacFarlane's shows have firmly established him as the comedy voice of choice for an entire generation. Seth is sharp, hugely irreverent and brilliantly funny which is reflected in his fantastic shows. We are delighted to be welcoming him and his comic creations to ITV."

Twentieth Century Fox Television's Marion Edwards added: "Family Guy is one of our most important, iconic series and we are very excited about this new collaboration. We are confident that this extraordinary series will not only bring its loyal fanbase to ITV, but will also be embraced by an entirely new set of fans."

It'll definitley put a dent in the Save BBC Three campaign, but I'm glad that Family Guy and American Dad are going to stay on the air if the move online does happen.
