It's always someone else to blame, never him.
Johnson is becoming the threat to real democracy. I'd shudder to think how he'll go down in political history as to his disastrous time in office. |

Yes it is.
This PM, his Ministers and cowering MPs terrified to oppose him,as they'd lose by threats likely political careers. Is of course as far away from true democracy you can get. We heard nothing of altering this oven ready policy from him in the election. However this PMs deceit has no boundaries. To use power in parliament to take the UK to a point where the Nation is seen as not respecting treaties. Is dangerous and totally undemocratic. Especially when you're in power with less than 44% of EVEN just the votes cast. However a crazy, ridiculous, out of date electoral system allowing you to be with an 80 overall majority. I really now, desperately hope Labour will look at supporting PR in elections. He has the votes of 44% of those who voted. I wonder how many of them would really want him to create in any small or larger way, don't and distrust that the UK be seen in the future as a Nation that will break its word and even law. From abusing electoral power given in parliament. This is beyond party politics, or should be, as Michael Howard said. He never thought he'd see the day where a Minister, and certainly never a Con one, would be willing to break a law and international treaty. This is really undemocratic, it is an abuse of power and near dictatorship. Really however, this is what we get from this now awful electoral system. Which really has failed since ,2005 at least. As much as I ended up detesting the coalition, at least those decisions were taken by 2 parties who commanded way over 50% of the votes cast in 2010 between them. That is how power should be won. Not the disproportionate distribution of seats now. Last edited by joeysteele; 14-09-2020 at 08:14 AM. |

breaking international laws is just completely wrong
and who even wants to go into a trade deal now with UK, after all this mess, where UK shows their loyalty is with themselves and themselves alone
