I agree. They have been putting in too many oddballs, and it's not as good. Normal ppl make good viewing as well.

I agree and I disagree.

Pros of having less freaks- Maybe some more fun, more chance of a decent romance, fairer.

Cons of having less freaks- Could be boring. Everyone moaned when BB4 was boring, and it had loads of good bits, It was just the people.

They do tend to put as many 'freaks' in as possible to try and make it more interesting, and it's been happening more recently!
I think there should still be freaky weird people, but a handful of normal people as well so that way we've still got that entertainment, but also the entertainment of more clashes between the types of people.

BB5 was the best BB series by a mile i reckon and it had a brilliant mixture of housemates.

We had the easy to relate to or should to we say less entertaining housemates (Shell/Stuart). We had the Loud, Bubbly, bitchy, argumentative housemates (Nadia/Michelle/Marco/Emma). We also had the Calm, collected, witty housemates (Dan). The game players (Jason/Victor/Ahmed). We also had the 'One Weeker' i.e The person who the majority of the public will dislike but who will provide enough entertainment to give the show the boost it need sin its first week (Kitten). Oh and then we had the complete useless housemates (Vanessa/Becki).

They went over bored in BB6 with too many over the top, argumentative housemates like Makosi, Kemal, Lesley, Kinga, Derek, Maxwell, Science. Too much arguments - Not enough fun and laughter for my liking.

BB7 did have a good mixture but was too predictable and went on a bit too long.

So was i at the time but come the last week i just didn't really care anymore and just wanted to kinda get it over and done with. I love BB but 13 weeks just seemed to drag in - I think 10/11 weeks was perfect. I've read that BB wont be 13 weeks again but if they change there minds then i hope they start it earlier next year - Maybe late April or early May.

nah freaks are good - theyre wat make the show!
maybe a couple of normal people - but normal people dont tend to go on big bro, and they can be quite boring
freaks are funny and the main source of entertainment in my opinion

what about BB4? That was the season with the least amount of freaks in (like only Jon!), and that also was the most boring season! So I say the more freaks the merrier!

The people in BB4 were all nice - and that was the problem. I think it should be like BB3 with a good mix of weirdos and normal people.

There needs to be some quirkiness to find the housemates entertaining, but I find the show much more entertaining when, like others have said, I'm able to relate to at least some of the housemates... I found it very difficult to do that last series.

Truth is, people are well aware that a nice wad of cash can be made by being a freak, and after the wads of cash made by last years freaks - I despair for the new series, I hardly watched it last time around after the first couple of weeks - I honestly just didn't care.

By the end I would only have purposely tuned in to watch the place be napalmed with them all in it.

I agree with the OP about the contestants, and have proper challenges, and no kowtowing to prima donna's - if they run out of fags let them smoke their clothes if they're really that desperate. No ridiculous twists - last year was an embarrasment.

If any contestand has to be "punished" them let them be, regardless of any ratings push - and no sneaky favourite editing to keep the BB favourite in the house.

I know - its a dream

Oh and "Who Goes - You Decide" actually means that,

though I'll be interested to see if that catchphrase gets dropped for the new series

I enjoyed the past big brothers (I just feel that bb1; bb2 and bb3 were like chalk and cheese from the others so I call it past big brothers)

I was entertained a lot with bb3 it had humorous… genuine... people who you could relate too. I also got satisfaction from bb5 for the reasons Aaron points out as there were variable of personalities. I also did enjoy bb6 but had a bit to much of arguments for my taste and I bb7 was mighty fine but to many tasks and went on to long in my opinoun

I say try make bb8 a mix between bb3 & bb5.... housemate wise
