It's good to get an insight into them all, I watched David Cameron last week, will watch Ed Milliband on the next one.

I hear enough of this Muppet on LBC radio each week so I'll probably not be watching this.
Nick Clegg is the politician without portfolio........a slightly shop soiled leader of a shop soiled Party whose 5 years in Coalition has achieved very little. His principles and morals were compromised 5 yrs ago after his mad dash for power which saw him backtracking on his party's manifesto promises. He seems to want to be David Cameron's best friend and his sworn enemy all at the same time. A muddled and confused leader of a muddled and confused Party. Difficult to see where the Lib Dems go from here tbh............

I watched this earlier after recording it, I just cannot take him seriously anymore, once I am really let down then I rarely ever trust that person again.
I agree with arista,I think his wife for sure rules the roost. The other thing with him is I feel he is more Conservative orientated and his party overall not. I don't think any programme on him now, will erase the massive shelving of Lib Dem policies he did, just to have 5 years of shared power and a few ministerial positions. I really believe he has virtually no political credibility or integrity left and even moreso now as he tries to distance himself from the 'nastier' policies he led his party into the lobby to support over the last 5 years. That really comes across as even more hypocrisy from him now. Really the sooner he is gone form UK politics and a new leader in place for the Lib Dems the better. Really they should have pulled out of the coalition for the last 9 months to a year at least and re-grouped then, even possibly under a new leader too. As it is, he cannot even take part in the opposition debate because he is still the deputy PM and should there be a crisis and David Cameron be indisposed he would need to be there able to handle it until after the election. So he doesn't have the luxury even of being seen as the opposition to this govt; No friendly or engaging cosmetic programming will erase all that,it is sad he is going to lead the Lib Dems to a disastrous result and also probably even lose his own seat too but he brought it all on himself. He should have negotiated more strongly and demanded far more for to be in full coalition. He failed bigtime and helped unleash,in my view, the worst and most heartless govt; on the UK there has been post war. Last edited by joeysteele; 10-04-2015 at 09:35 AM. |
