Out of interest, does anyone know the percentages? I thought when I first heard about this referrendum, that I'm fairly well convinced that any Westernised country putting gay marriage to the vote would get an inevitable and resounding "yes". But then, Ireland has some pretty solid Catholic roots that are still very much in play so I started to wonder...

Just interested to see if it was a landslide or a close call! Can't seem to find the infor on Google .

Oh wait... scratch the above, apparently it was 62% to 38% so yes, a very good margin there.

Divine intervention?...

'In a fitting coincidence, rainbows were seen over Dublin and Cork as the final results came in.'

God saying that those HUMANS who transcribed his divine words were wrong when it came to what he stated about homosexuality, and he has set his Rainbow in the sky as a covenant with the Gay Community.

Genesis 9:13 The Covenant of the Rainbow

…God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth."It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud,…And he set his rainbow in the firmanents.."

Now it just needs the Orthodox Churches to heed God's new sign.

I'm not religious at all, but when the rainbows appeared I did think of Jesus/God being all accepting of this and it warmed my heart.
