No one would argue that the Iraq dossier wasn't a massive lie... However... if you believe that the UK wasn't going to war in Iraq no matter what then I think you underestimate the political forces that we surrounded that conflict. Labour, Tory, doesn't matter which party was in power... Iraq was happening and they would have found ways to justify it.

(Oops.before I end that bit,I would have been against the Iraq invasion by any govt. anyway,just in case I get,I am just a new Labourite supporting Tony Blair).

What Iraq has to do with a thread about HS2,is beyond me however.
