Douglas Carswell accosted by protestors chanting 'racist'

Douglas Carswell, Ukip's only MP, left says he is 'frightened and shaken' after being confronted by dozens of protests as he waited for a bus near Parliament

Mr Carswell said that the incident was "very very nasty". He later said on Twitter: "[I] Am fine. Bit shaken. As an MP I will always use public transport and I do not want to live in a society when politicos don't."

these idiots think that if labour got back in, they would go back to over spending, and not stop the austerity, under labour the austerity would still happen, how can they give out money that is not there, labour under brown, where going to plan the same cuts, as the torys where, after the recession had happened, carswell was not the one that made the austerity cuts, if you put them protesters in government today they would bankrupt the country in a year, britain's debt is at 90 percent, how can we stop it,
