I am, in the words of Frank Spencer,
'having a bit of trouble'. This Packard Bell which I bought last year, with its mega whotsits and windows XP, more power, etc etc is seriously ill. It keeps freezing, keeps saying pages are unavailable when they are, and I got a lot of 'this program is not respondings'. I've tried System restore, and then I couldn't switch it off the other night and tried what it said in the troubleshooting guide (msconfig) no joy. Had to switch it off at the wall. Then it wouldn't switch on. After much jiggling, bashing of case and expletiving I got it on, but couldn't navigate last night. Today it's sort of OK ish, but not right. I know it's under warranty, and I need to take it in. BUT it could take ages, and I break out in a sweat at the thought of a week plus without my pc. ANY IDEAS??????? ![]() |
