Default Why are they doing a timewarp week?

It's feeling like the second attempted revival but would this have been needed if the quadruple wasn't imposed on the viewers? Or was this series dead on arrival... BB16 isn't even a significant milestone

Before the launch they advertised Timebomb as a show full of twists and turns and manipulating the hm's past and present tbf so it's basically part of the theme?

Yes and didn't it feature in the ad too?

I'm sure this has been discussed on BOTS in the past too, so it's something they've always planned.

I think they're trying to replicate the Armageddon week of BB15, which shot the viewing figures up, they're probably doing a similar one week theme for this series to give the figures a big push (hopefully).

I actually think for once this may have been an idea planned in advance of the series, it feels very C4 esque at long last. Obviously we'll see how it's executed but my hopes are high at this point

I mean they've been teasing ex housemates from pre-launch so I'm glad it's actually happening and wasn't just something they were relating to the theme for no reason again as per usual. The idea behind it is most likely to draw casuals back and get some press attention (particularly if Nikki's coming back) but it's just a coincidence that this series is doing **** anyway and the twist is necessary
