The Apprentice 2015 is scheduled to start BBC One in September, it has been revealed.
The eleventh series of the BBC One show has been filmed over the past few weeks and will return to our screens in the autumn as Lord Sugar once again fronts the business show.
Up for grabs is another £250,000 investment opportunity with Lord Sugar as a number of candidates take on a set of challenges and tasks to prove themselves and their business idea.
This year’s run of The Apprentice UK will see some changes with Nick Hewer having stepped down as Lord Sugar’s aid.
Nick has been Lord Sugar’s right hand man for the past ten years but announced last year that he wouldn’t be leaving, saying: “I shall continue to enjoy the show from my armchair, marvelling at the candidates’ self-esteem, at the sky-high production values of the producers and at the extraordinary talent of my old friend Alan Sugar.”
It’s since been confirmed that Nick has been replaced by Claude Littner, who will join Karren Brady on the tasks.
Also leaving is You’re Fired host Dara Ó Briain, with a replacement a for him to be confirmed in due course.
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Lord Sugar could end up fronting the US version of the show together with the UK series after Donald Trump was axed by American network NBC.
A source told The Sun newspaper: As soon as NBC cut all ties with Trump, Lord Sugar and [Apprentice creator] Mark Burnett started talking.
“They obviously know each other really well from working on the British version and have a great relationship.”
