Default BB16... What happened?

Minus twists etc., what actually happend this series. The stuff big brother is actually about, the development of people's personalities, stories growing in the house. This year we were given a few awful showmances, and a very small house divide, very small.
And to top it all of we are left with 6 housemates who defended and shaped the series in little to no way at all.
In a years time, when you look at Bb16, will you just think.... That thing with the first evictee and the butter was quite good

This year housemates never got the chance to develop. They saw the low ratings, panicked and replaced 4 housemates. Then threw twist after twist after twist. No wonder the series is a shambles.

It was always trash even at the start

The only episode I fully enjoyed was Aisleyne and Nikki vs Helen

Yeah, pretty non eventful series, ruined by production.

You can pool both BB15 and BB16 together as series that didn't follow the format at all, even with all their faults BB12-14 at least followed the format.

4in4out and 3-4 weeks of "legend" housemates happened. Plus the Hotel task. And in some way Marc.

Especially the Legend twist put the originals into the statist/support crew role, while the oldies took the Actor role.

Almost half of the series focused on the Legends and former housemates and peoples interactions with Marc.

I think the faults lie with the production (again) and they should be sacked and replaced by better people (again) but I think the show has been so badly damaged it won't go back to BB14 greatness

eh BB14 was really the beginning of it all with convoluted rules and nominations twists and whatnot. It didn't go overboard until next year but the seeds were planted.

BB14 got away with it because a twist didn't happen every week and it's theme was vague enough for it not to ruin the show

It's simple enough... You can't get to know 16 housemates with only 45 minute HL shows clogged up with pointless twists, desperate stunts and moronic tasks.

If you don't know them, you don't care, if you don't care, you don't bother watching.

The solution is the return of the 24/7 live coverage and less interference. But they've been told this for years. Finally they've hit a deadend with the ridiculous format they chose for it, but I doubt they're willing to go back to it being the show it once was.

I think there was only one week they changed the nominations to anyone with 2 up faced eviction (to get Jackie Travers out)

There were some other things I didn't like, such as getting Daley and Hazel into that secret room. But it was the series that had extra live coverage and it did well in the ratings from that moment onwards.

We had about 25 housemates including legends and hotel guests, who took up all the time. This series still had a chance without live feed, but well never get it back now as it gives producers no chance to manipulate their way

They lost the plot, literally.
That's what happens when the production is looking for instant manufactured drama. just put in the micro and heat. nothing to really care about...

For me even though there have been lots of twist in this series, I've like most of the HMs this year, were as last year I didn't really like any of them ....tbh, the one thing I will say Ive be been really disappointed is how the evictions have went, I think the wrong people went out at the wrong time, I feel some of the people who we are left with should have got long before now.
