hungry eyes (children going hungry and missing meals in school holidays) 03.08.15

something is not adding
this meal i will dissect
why in 2015 for food are children gagging
if anything this is not politically correct.
now we have a holiday interval
children are missing guaranteed nutrition
they may not like school that's verbal
but the eating part is a missed edition.
100 years ago was the first
yes it happened as far back as a century
but they managed to address hunger and thirst
they supplied our children with food and drink entry.
sorry but news is breaking
national obesity is on the rise
this is not a wind up and i am not faking
but in times of austerity how does it equalize.
we need a bit of ingredient
so we have clear clarity

she said politicians must work together so not needed is charity.
the "children society" are not fine
they have a figure
500 000 are living below the breadline
but will action this trigger.
food bank times are extending
because holiday equals 170 days shortage full
will "Leon restaurant chain" be pretending
are UK children really hungry or am i gullible.

( i have tried to get this to leon and a few food banks but what i want to no is - does anyone feel ashamed this is still happening in 2015 ? will this be my poem of the week ? i suppose you will have to wait and see if it goes up in the best phone box in the world. )
