I don't particularly dislike Austin or Chloe but he is not doing himself any favours by pursuing the obsession with her issues with alcohol.

I understand that he was disappointed about her not participating in the toast to his brother but it's a bit extreme now. Alcoholism is a serious affliction and affects each person differently, so judging from the exterior is just stupid and pious. From a viewing perspective, it's also becoming a boring and unpleasant form of persecution.

Apart from that, of all the things you could legitimately criticise Chole and Stevi for (and let's face it, that's a long list), this one is crap!

The fact is she lied about her 'illness' and that comes across on screen as well as the blatant fake cry when it was brought up

Yeah, I don't really believe much that Chloe says or does but the way he's speaking is insulting towards anyone watching who has been affected by alcoholism

he is a dick and a pompous one at times but she cant just declare she is an alcoholic to defend being a bit lazy

she should have told austin that she did not toast his brother as she thought it was a bit silly and mawkish and she wanted to stay in bed

They are both as bad as each other but in different ways.
Chloe clearly has problems, not sure if alcohol is one of them but she must be a nightmare to live with.
But Austin just won't let this go & it's getting nasty now.
He is gunning for her because she is weak.
He has backed down in arguments with Jenna because she stands up to him.
If even James is getting annoyed with him then it must be bad.
He is really ruining his chances of staying in right now.

I think Austin was wound up, because it was the anniversary of his brother death. But James has talked to him and he seems to have calmed down now.
