For YEARS on "Birds of a Feather" they pronounced her name AS IT SHOULD BE, "Doreen" - DOR - REEN, the "reen" part rhyming with "clean".

Kenneth Williams, who hosts BOTS pronounces it as "Dorian", as in the portrait of Dorian Gray.

It reminds me of Ricky Gervais' recalcitrant and hipster/counter culture pronunciation of David Bowie's surname as "BOW- EE", the "bow" rhyming with "how", even though NOBODY else pronounces it that way.

It's like they're either trying to be completely counter culture or they just have this societal blind spot and they cannot see it.


Either way, it's REALLY farking annoying!
