AXED X Factor contestant Mason Noise WILL return to the show, The Sun can confirm.
The controversial hopeful was given the boot in Sunday’s episode following a bust-up with Simon Cowell.
Head judge Simon branded him “a complete a***hole” and ordered him to leave after he complained that he was not getting enough air-time.
But he was won a reprise following Tom Bleasby’s shock departure on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who had won a place in the judges houses round, quit the show citing “personal reasons”.
And Mason has now been drafted in to take his place.
An insider on the show told The Sun that Mason’s return is the latest sign that Simon and producers are trying anything they can in a desperate bid to improve ailing ratings.
A source said: “Any other year and Mason would not have been given another chance.
“He was rude to the crew, to Simon and clearly had a huge ego. Even the audience heavily booed him.
“But there’s no denying he will cause controversy on the show, which will give the show a ratings boost. So X Factor bosses have put their pride aside on this one to allow him back in the competition.”
The decision to bring Mason, 21, back will not be popular with judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 32, either.
Earlier this year after his well-received first audition The Sun on Sunday revealed the singer had previously made scathing remarks about the Geordie beauty on Twitter.
He wrote last year: “How is Cheryl in the music business, let alone a judge?”
Mason had also been criticised for appearing on the show against thousands of unknowns when he is already considered a rising star in the UK urban music scene.
Mason even slated the show after he was kicked off.
He said: “They aren’t fair to a lot of people. Just takes one to say something. Let’s get it straight. I was told to shut it ‘a***hole’ and leave because I wouldn’t apologise for my opinion.
“How is that acceptable in 2015? Speak a little truth, and everyone loses their minds.”

The Sun are pretty reliable when it comes to reality tv sources so this looks like it's true after all. Definitely a publicity stunt if so.
