Looks really nice, can't wait for the Piccadilly line to be massively upgraded as part of The New Tube For London programme.

I want to know when they're going to make it more accessible for disabled people. One of my friends is in a wheelchair and the amount of money they spend on 'upgrading' the underground stations whilst doing nothing about disabled access is a joke imo. But great news about the new lighting

Hmm, I think it must be standard possible to make it more accessible when they commence refurbishments on stations? If not that's quite bad.

My local tube station (Southgate) isn't accessible for disabled people, but Arnos Grove and Oakwood, literally a few mins away are.

The new tube for London looks so cool, I will be perched when the line I use gets them first.

I haven't lived in London that long so I don't know exactly how it works, but I'm sure they've made upgrades to stations in the last year where they haven't made them fully accessible. His is the kind of wheelchair that can't be lifted at all so for him it would have to be entrance to train accessible. I appreciate it would be very expensive because it's something that just wouldn't have been considered when the network was built, so they'd have to change a hell of a lot, but it's just frustrating that it isn't as high on their list of priorities as other things, because it wouldn't serve the mass population. It's so difficult for him to travel anywhere.

Yeah, I know with buildings it's a must, our school put one in. They shovel try with most stations but like you said it's probably difficult/expensive. But I'm sure there's a way they can work around it.

i don't like those big glass walls they are going to put in front of the tracks. There's something exciting about having the train pull up with no barriers. Those walls will make it feel like getting on an elevator.

This might sound geeky but I love the look of it looking like it's been dropped from the set of the Minority Report Film.

Doesn't it look like the tube now but clean? A moving walkway rather than an escalator would be an improvement.
