Default Question

Now i don't know if this has been brought up already but i heard something on the Chris Moyles show that i thought was very interesting.

The question was along the lines of; because Jade bullied, is it then right for her to be treated in the same way by the public in reaction to what she has done? Meaning if we are condemning it so vigorously and disapproving against it, why are we then throwing insults and verbally bullying her back?

Thoughts? Please discuss...

I agree with Moyles (good choice in radio show tanser) are we not falling into the trap of becoming bullies if we treat Jade in the same way she has treated Shilpa!

I would like to think that she will be given a fair hearing and that people will calm down eventually , at the end of the day she is not very intelligent, she is very ignorant but I doubt she has any idea that this would happen.

So NO I do not think we should do the same to her, I think that she shuold speak to some real victims of bullying to get an insight into how her actions might affect others.

I think she should be given time to firstly watch her actions and then explain her actions. I don't really agree with jumping down her neck straight away although she has angered me immensely, i think even she has the right to an explanation outside of the house!!

It's just worrying though, whats stopping her stupidity on exiting the house, putting her even deeper in the dogie do?

(btw I'm not a fan of Chris Moyles, he talks too much!)

Well as I've already said on here the media backlash against Jade could be called bullying itself. I feel very angry at the way its been handled, and I'm no fan of Jade.

Jade has had no chance to respond to any of the accusations about her alleged racist comments made by people - most of whom I would assume probably don't even watch Big Brother. The newspapers lead by that sickening, self-righteous, evil rag the Sun printed probably one of the most disgraceful, disgusting headlines I've seen for a many long time in today's addition titled:'Vote out face of hate'. Pathetic, really.

Also notice inside today's Sun they showed a photo of Shilpa in tears as if response to being in the house with Jade, but that was Shilpa crying after telling BB in the diary room how pleased she was to have met the people inside the house. And then there are misquotes from the Jade herself to make what she said worse.

See, manipulation and a trial by media who are intent to destroy a young girl's reputation.

Agree with what you both say - Jade is never going to be given a fair hearing or the opportunoty to defend herself. There are always people who are extreme about things like this then others happily jump onto the bandwagon with them.

I hope this does not destroy her, I doubt she meant to cause this much upset

No maybe she shouldnt be treated in the same way by the public, but then she will think it was ok to do that and she wouldnt see how wrong she was.

She shouldn't be allowed to profit from her behaviour. That's my main concern.

If she starts appearing in OK magazine and Heat giving 'her side of the story, under headlines like 'Jade's heartfelt tears over Big Brother' she'll be benefiting from her bullying.

She made her name for herself and profited hugely - in part - from her bullying on BB3.

From my point of view the best outcome would be if she now disappears from public view - she can always still live off her millions.

I have said it a few times already, but I think that anyone wishing harm on Jade is worse than her. There are a lot of angry people who are upset and offended by the things she has allegedly said. And, whilst I can understand that anger and offence, I don't condone the idea of attacking her physically or verbally.

I do think that she ought to be shown how her actions have been perceived and given the chance to have her say, whether it be an apology or an attempt to defend her actions. She knows enough about the media and PR by now to know how these things play out.

I think it has blown out of all proportion, and people (the public) need to get some perspective on the issue before going out all guns blazing.

James, I know how you feel. I loathe OK! and Hello! which are aimed at gossip merchants who like to delve into every celeb's private lifel. But Jade deserves to be heard in all this. She has a right to tell her side of what happened.

What does it say for our democracy if we simply ostrocize Jade over an argument and misinterpruted comments which people are assuming are overtly racist?

I also hope it doesn't destory her because that woiuld mean a victory for the media.

What Jade needs to do is educate herself, get elocution lessons and become more sophisticated because her stupidity and ignorance are her biggest liability.

In other words grow up Jade.

A lot of people have, you're not the only one.

People are always quick to judge and condemn people without looking at the whole picture objectively.
This has always been the case in BB where good HMs have been evicted because of certain innocuous comments that have been taken as insulting.

They should but they prefer to the let the tabloids do the thinking for them.

You are right though this has been blown totally of proportion.

That's what i don't agree with but it is going to happen.

I bet you now, that she will be on the cover of one of them magazines or even a 2 page spread in the news of the world within a couple of weeks, even days!

Should she get a fee? Well you could argue that, she could do with it to help her with matters but at the same time should they be rewarding her for persistantly being a nasty piece of work?

The easiest thing would be for her to vanish but that would send out the wrong signals to the public. She needs to get out and face everything full on.

If I was her advisor, I would tell her to speak out to the glossy magazine that offers her the highest fee. Then I would advise her to donate the fee to an anti-bullying or anti-racism campaign.

That's the media though, they make or break you. They bay for new blood and as i think you said before, they'll manipulate in order to get supporters to help in the demise of a person.
