Anybody else enjoying er at the moment? I think it is brilliant. It's embarrasing when you watch our medical dramas then watch this. American shows are far superior to ours in my humble opinion!!!

I do agree, ER is great entertainment.
However (puts boring and pedantic hat on) The level of trauma and crisis in ER and even in Casualty is completely unrealistic. I visit an A&E department every morning as part of my work and review all attendances. They put about a months high level activities in one shift. The vast majority of people who visit come with trivial nonesense which should be seen by their own GP, if they could get an appointment, or probably be dealt with at home with anyone who had even a rudimentary idea of first aid. I overhear every morning people who come with an ache they have had for months, and then complain vociferously when someone with chest pains or serious injuries is seen before them! Mind you, the staff in Emergency departments do a fantastic job, and I do enjoy the energy and relative excitement of the place. 'Casualty' is SO annoying. Charlie wouldn't last two minutes, and couldn't manage a children's picnic, and all the Consultants have been complete t***ers who would be brought down to earth double quick by a mouthy piece like me! ER is good, if unrealistic, and Noah Wylie makes it completely worthwhile! ![]() |

Ok R.O.B the good times are back we are now liking the same guys. First there was Mr Clarke now......Noah Wyle. That man is gorgeous, and what a brilliant actor as well. I hope he and Abby don't split up because I have been waiting for this relationship for two years now!!!!
Word is that Noah will be seen in bed with Abby on E4 in a couple of weeks.....wait for it.......BARE CHESTED. Be still my heart. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

How could anyone describe our ROB as anything but an angel. Bless her little cotton socks. I bet her patients love her.
I agree about Casualty, they spend far too much time discussing their love lives to ever get any work done. I must admit I do watch it, but only cos its filmed in Bristol and I love recognising locations and the fact that they travel five miles by going round a corner. ![]() ![]() ER on the other hand is brilliant, fantastic cast, great story lines and one of the few must watch programmes. |
