Default What we can expect in the BB4 house

I got this off the Channel 4 Big Bro Forum.

Don't know if it should be taken with a very big pinch of salt!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Hey everyone.

I have been told by a very good source who worked on Big Brother 2 and 3.

That the house has yet again been re-designed for the new series which will start late May.

The Bedrooms now have bunk beds in.

The vegtable patch has now gone and been replace by with a pig pen. Yes!!! thats right the housemates will get a pig to look after this year as well as the chickens.

And the Living area has now been painted purply blue on the walls. The Carpet is now beige.

And by the way the bathroom is currently being re designed with a steam room attached to it.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

What do you all think?

A pig would be interesting for them to look after as well as the chickens.

Bunk beds is a novel idea, but wouldn't that give problems for areas that the cameras couldn't see?

I think it's a brilliant idea so long as they don't run short of food!!!!

Oink , Oink !

What would be the point of having a pig to look after as they are hardly going to slaughter it now, are they ???The chickens yes, they got eggs from them, but a pig....now really !

defianlty no sex then this year with bunk bedsWhat's happened to the nice king sizes. Mind you, there's still room to spoon on the top bunk I suppose with a nice view thrown in, and no one can see you if your on the top bunk, except that is for a camera stuck in your face and a million or so drooling viewers behind it

It seems that the Sunday Mirror have picked up on the rumours surrounding BB4:
Quote:
HOUSEMATES in the new series of TV's Big Brother will be given a pig to look after.

Producers are also adding a sauna to encourage housemates to get passionate with each other.

A pig sty and pen are being built in the garden for the new porker - but contestants will still have to look after the chickens which have featured in all three series so far, and in the two celebrity versions of the show.

Channel 4 insiders say the pig is being drafted in to give the show a new dimension after an attempt to get housemates to grow vegetables proved a dismal failure.

"No one ever managed to grow anything in the vegetable patch and rarely went near it," said a source.

The steam room in Big Brother 4, which is due to start in June, is an attempt to encourage the 10 housemates to get more intimate - although producers are reluctant to admit that publicly for fear of getting into trouble with the TV regulators.

No contestants have so far had full sex in the house although Jade Goody and PJ were thought to have come close last summer.

A Big Brother insider said: "Saunas are popular places to have sex so there is a real hope that this will finally spark something. No one involved in the programme can admit it but they really want to see some sex."

Programme-makers Endemol have scrapped the partition bars which divided the house into "rich and poor" sides after deciding they damaged morale among housemates. They are also bringing bunk beds into the house and painting inside walls purple.

A record 110,000 people applied to take part in the new series ... now producers have drawn up a shortlist of 50.
So . . . . . . . . have they really got this information from Endemol, or have they just 'jazzed up' the info. from the C4 BB Forum?

One addition is certainly the fact that the bars will be scrapped - HURRAH!

And they've also said that BB4 is due to start in June - that's a wee bit later than normal, isn't it?

Oooh, it's getting quite exciting!!!

This report appeared in the Metro, a free newspaper they give away on buses and at the Tyne and Wear Metro

Quote:
Sauna to steam up Big Brother

HOUSEMATES in the new series of TV's Big Brother are to be given a steam room to encourage them to indulge in sex. Contestants in the new series, which starts in June, will also look after a pig as well as chickens in the garden. The Big Brother house will be redecorated in bright purple. A source close to the series said of the steam room: 'Housemates won't be allowed to wear cloths inside but they will be told to wrap a towl around themselves. Saunas are popular places for couples to have sex so their is a real hope this will finally spark something.' The producers have had 110,000 applications and 60 sacks of promotional videos a day from potential housemates for series four. Applicants have been whittled down to a shortlist of 50
Yet again it seems that Endemol / C4 have yet to hear of the concepts of taste and decency

While reading the Digitalspy forums i came across this.....
The fourth series of Big Brother will contain more "Wit and warmth" according to the Daily Star today.

Ememol Chairman Peter Bazalgette has annouced that he wanted the show to have "nicer" people this year. "We thought that last year's were the nicest bunch of people but they bickered more than earlier groups" he said.

Apparently, 110,000 applications were recieved for BB4, more than last year, with up to sixty bangs of videos a day arriving at the offices of Endemol Productions.

He also denied that the show exploited some housemates last year, pointing out that contestants are screened by psychologists.

On Jade, Bazalgette said: "The Jade phenomenon was extraordinary. Only robust people get though and Jade was robust - she's splended".

This bit, if it is to be believed, has promise.

“We don't want a bunch of pretty people who shout lots,” a BB insider told us, “We want people who come out of their shell over a period of time – who don’t just reveal everything they’ve got to offer in one night. They have to have layers."

Now Nick had "layers" didn't he!! Stuart too! AND Penny. Most of BB1 and 2 did in fact. Excellent!!

AND NO BARS! I might get to look forward to this!!...............

Thought we all ought to have this on file....

Just in case.....

The Big Brother Office: Britain’s best kept secret
01-April-2003

It’s only around six weeks to go until the start of Big Brother 4 and security surrounding the BB office is tighter than Ricardo from The Salon’s underpants.

A staff member at Big Brother’s production company, Endemol, tells the BB website: “The Big Brother office is right at the end of our building. The door is always locked and there are only a few key people who know exactly what goes on in there. It’s a real secret squirrel operation.”

From the thousands of entrants that applied to Big Brother this year, there are about 200 left. An insider told us, “We’re furiously whittling the numbers down now. We’ve got to the last couple of hundred but there’s still a way to go."

The audition process occurs over several stages. The first (and most time-consuming) is the initial tape-watching stage. Interesting applicants are then invited to auditions around the country. The numbers are further reduced as the best candidates are selected for the next stage in London. These aspiring housemates are then put through a gruelling psychological assessment and have their criminal records checked before they can be entered into the nail-biting final casting stage!

Endemol chairman Peter Bazalgette said: “We thought that last year's were the nicest bunch of people, but they bickered more than earlier groups. This year we’re looking for more wit and warmth. We pick people very carefully, using psychologists to screen them and warning them of the pressures ahead. The Jade phenomenon was extraordinary. Only robust people get through and Jade was robust.”

And although some people might like the idea of having 14 beautiful bodies wandering around the BB house for nine weeks – we can assure you that this year's candidates will have much more up top than just a pretty face.

“We don't want a bunch of pretty people who shout lots,” a BB insider told us, “We want people who come out of their shell over a period of time – who don’t just reveal everything they’ve got to offer in one night. They have to have layers. It's quite a specific skill casting for that – a bit like a play really."

And it’s a play we’ll all be able to watch from front row seats - in our living rooms."

Are we going to hold them to it?? LOL

I am looking forward to it as well. But I hope we are not setting our expectations too high and thinking we might get another BB2. I know I sound very cynical, but I don't know if they will ever be able to match that! I'm going to be excited but cautious I think!

DOCUMENTARY: The Great Stink

Documentary profile of Sir Joseph Bazalgette, the man who designed the pioneering sewage system that helped end the cholera and typhoid outbreaks in Victorian London. Presented by television producer Peter Bazalgette, the civil engineer's great-great-grandson.
Some would have described BB3 as sewage as well.

Joke.
