Default X Factor Room Auditions Returning Next Series

Quote:
The X Factor will be return for a thirteenth series next year but there will be some changes.

Speaking at the press conference for this year's X Factor final, Simon revealed he was already turning his attention to 2016's show.

Taking on feedback from viewers, Simon said the team would be making improvements to the format again.

"I think we'll go back to the small rooms next year," he said about the auditions.

But Simon hinted that the six chair challenge would STAY despite Rita Ora branding it "inhumane" this week.

"It definitely wasn’t my favourite," she said. "I cannot believe they make you do that. It is beyond stressful. It nearly broke me."

Simon however commented: "I think what worked the best, the talent was great and people liked the six chair challenge."

Another thing that will NOT be changing is Simon Cowell's spot on the judging panel as he declared he planned to be back.

Also chatting to us at the event, Cheryl was not so outright with her intentions.

"I don't know what's going to happen next year," the now X Factor veteran judge admitted. "We don't ever have these conversations because trust me, this time [of year] you're so stressed, you can't even think about what you're going to do next year, you can only think about Christmas dinner and some time off."

Meanwhile, Simon briefly spoke about ITV's decision to takeover The Voice UK but insisted "it doesn't matter to me if it's on BBC or ITV," adding that the show would NOT replace The X Factor and will instead "stay where it is" in the schedules for 2017.
