Yes Hindus dont eat beef, which is why the oxo cubes were the chicken variety as normal oxo cubes contain beef.

the reason jermaine is only eating veg is because hes fasting at the mo , he only eats chicken other wise i think .

The cow isn't important to all Indians, just the Hindus, of which there IS a large majority. For instance a real Vindaloo is made with beef whilst a vast proportion of classic Indian cooking is vegetarian. 90%+ of the so called Indian restaurants in the uk are actually run by Bangladeshi's. As for Jermaine, I haven't got a glue.
