Apparently it was ALL LIVE. Incredible.

I really enjoyed the show last night. First time ever I have sat through The Sound of Music. The children especially were FANTASTIC. How they remembered their lines and where to stand and sing, was amazing.

Hats off to them and the leading actors too.

Maybe they were all kids with stage experience?

They did this on NBC here in the states (With Carrie Underwood as Maria for some reason) a couple years ago and I thought it was a trainwreck. The kids were all broadway actors and were enjoyable

Since the show did get good ratings that year they've decided to do a musical production around this time every year now. Last was Peter Pan (They did have a woman play the titular role) and this year, it was the Wiz (with Queen Latifah as The Wiz and a stage actress as Dorothy.)

Peter Pan was horrid but The Wiz was a good show to watch actually.
