It wasn't a fix. Big Brother might have been controlling the timing of the boxes opening but the housemates chose which podiums to stand behind.

People, this show has been fixed since C5 took over. Why else do you think they don't release the voting figures?

I reckon it's a pre-planned decision dressed up as a random event. Big Brother can do that sort of thing, remember. Make someone king of the house on a whim, give them a secret task etc. It's no different really.
They're free to do what they wish because there was no public input involved.
