​Gemma Collins has an explanation for why she held herself back in the Celebrity Big Brother house (wait, what?) - she has a new TV series in the works.

The TOWIE star was evicted on Tuesday night (February 2), losing out to Stephanie Davis and Danniella Westbrook in the public vote.

Speaking to reporters after her exit, Gemma explained that the upcoming The Only Way Is Gemma is the reason why she didn't show too much of herself.

"I laugh at myself - I don't take myself too seriously. I do have my own TV show coming out called The Only Way Is Gemma so people will very much get to see Gemma and I'm very excited for people to see that," she revealed.

I'm totally amazed by this news....and for completely different reasons to most people on here....the final proof, not that we needed any more, that she is just a totally ungrateful selfish old bitch...
I hope BB have learnt a lesson from this greedy cruddy old cow and won't pander to another housemate in the future.... They bent all the rules to keep her happy and she was only ever using them.....she's been telling us all that she was the only entertainment in the house, all her followers have blindly agreed with her and now she announces that she deliberately didn't entertain because she's been saving that for her own show....she has used BB, she has used the viewers and their money and she has just been lying to all her fans...
I am so glad I saw straight thru her cause if I had supported her I would now feel stupid and used and humiliated. She's laughing at each and every one of her fans.

What's annoying with contestants like Gemma and Nikki Grahame and Brian Belo etc, is that they destroy the true concept of Big Brother and that's seeing a trace of what someone is really like, Gemma only showed her nasty side, and her thick act which as I've already said is an act and wasn't real which on a Reality TV Show is very irritating.

I didn't find her nasty or particularly thick.
