...apologies if this has been posted in another section..I wouldn't usually post a Katie Hopkins thread because I don't have much time for her as a person but I do have huge sympathies with her and the awful illness she suffers../and having gone through extensive brain surgery myself as well, I wish her well and a good and speedy recovery...


Katie Hopkins revealed last year that she was terrified of dying as she prepared to undergo grueling brain surgery in a bid to reduce the amount of seizures she suffers due to epilepsy.

The mum-of-three went in for the twelve-hour surgery yesterday and has now tweeted that she’s still the same ol’ Katie - despite having part of her brain removed

Taking to her Twitter account this morning, the rent-a-gob quipped: “A tweet from the High Dependency Unit to give you bad news.

"Even 12 hours in surgery and the removal of part of my brain has not shut me up.”

Yep, Katie definitely has not changed.

The former Apprentice star previously opened up about her fears for the surgery, that she had to be wide awake for, telling Now magazine: “I’ll probably have open-brain surgery to help with my epilepsy.

"It’s nocturnal so I only suffer at nights, in case people are wondering why I’m not fitting all over the place.
"During the surgery I have to talk and move my left hand and left leg while they’re operating - because where they go in [to the brain] is near those things. So that’s a fear, but it’s only a physical fear, so need to man up a bit.”

To be fair, it sounds like a pretty reasonable fear to us.

The outspoken reality star is known for being a little bit on the, ahem, outrageous side, but she also took the time to insist that her life isn’t as la-dee-da as people may think.
