Hope you enjoy the concert, BigSister.

Not lucky enough to be going to one myself, so look forward to reading your review when you get back.

Have fun!

It was greatt.
I was sat really near the stage not at the front but at a side but it was really near.
Everyone was great
Ainselle was entertaining as usuall, lol
The songs they sang were

Let me entertain you(All)
Cant get you out of my head
Get the party started
Genie in a bottle
(All those were sang by The girls minus Sinead so that included Katie, Pippa, Maril and Camilla)
And Pippa sang her new song a cover of Aerosmiths I dont want to miss a thing a dance version
Then Sinead and Malachi came on and sang If tommorow never comes
Sinead left and Malachi sang his new single
Then Chris, Ashley and Nigel came on and sang
Dancing in the moonlight(Chris on lead vocals)
Police every breath you take (Nigel)
Have a nice day(Ashley)
Nigel and Chris went and Ashley did some talking on a text vote they were doing.
Then...Ainselle and Mairi came on a sang "Come up and see me"
Mairi left and Ainselle sang "Dont get me wrong" and at one point i thought he was going to go into the crowd lol
Then.... Malachi and Sinead came on and did Keep me a Secret
Lemar came on and sang
Lets stay together
Easy
and then Ainselle Sinead and Malachi came on and did Lullaby"

Ill post another thread on the 2nd half

ok 2nd half

Finally David came on and he sang with Sinead on"I guess thats why they call it the blues"
Then Davis left. Sinead then sang" I cant break down" and "Complicated"
Then all the students came back and they sang
Dont get me wrong
Handbags and Gladrags
and Bad Bad Butcher
Then....
David came on
He started off with Dont let the Sun go down on me
Then Dont let go(His new1)
Then finshed off with Living the Lie
He also did a bit of Imagine
The students came back and they all sang With a little help from my friends
Then they did a medley of
I Still havent found what im looking for
Pride in the name of love
With or without you
and some others which I didnt reconise

It was great and I had a brilliant time
And where we were sat you could see backstage and at one point we could see Ainselle jumping up and down
And Malachi waved to the crowd where we were sitting and near the end Chris waved to me

Excellent review, BigSister - thanks!

Sounds like you had a fantastic evening - you were really lucky to be so close to the stage. It must have been quite a long show, and they seem to have sung all the favourites from the TV series as well as their own new material!

Who was your favourite performer on the night?

Performance Wise Ainselle was good but they were all good. Ashley did most of the talking but he was good at talking to the audience.
David,Sinead,Malachi,Ainselle and Lemer were probably the best but like I said it was good

Well, I am surprised someone else hasn't already appraised you of this BUT

Peachy and I went to this last night, and it was fan-bloody-tastic!

Not much different to the concert described by Big Sister, except Nigel was poorly and didn't appear.

I thought Ainslie was absolutely ace, Lemar perhaps not quite as powerful as I expected, but seemed at ease in front of the crowd.

I was surprised at how good Katie was, and actually David was as well.

Underwhelmed by: Marli, Ashley, Chris, Camilla and Pippa a little. Essentially though they were the 'also rans'. The show belonged to the others.

A certain Peachy seemed rather taken
with a certain young Irishman, who acquitted himself extremely well!

There were plenty of hints at the continuing relationship between him and Sinead.

All in all it was a great night out. I can definitely recommend it!

It certainly was a great show. All the students did ok, but as ROB said it was really the final five (David, Sinead, Lemar, Ainslie and of course, Malachi) who shone.

As far as a certain Irishman is concerned, he is pretty unrecognisable from those Friday night showdown days. He got a great reception at the NEC and he really did shine. For me, Ainslie and Malachi were the best on the night, although David and Sinead were also very, very good.

As us Brummie's say 'it war 'arf a bostin night'

You are 3 lucky girls, BigSister, ROB and Peachy, that's for sure.

It sounds as if it was a great show and I'm hoping that a video will be released from one of the venues.

I'm a bit worried about Nigel now, though. Hope he's OK. I like Nigel, I do.

Good find, Di.

Although I don't think that third picture from the left in the top row is Ashley! If it is, he's certainly changed.

Katie's looking fab!
