Default La Liga thread

**fka the El Clasico thread

I thought I'd start this ahead of next week's El Clasico match. It's scary how far forward Barcelona are now. On paper it looks like Real Madrid could receive another thrashing. But I think Zinedain will organise Real better than Rafa did.

Ronaldo and Messi's high standards have dipped recently - still better than rest.

I not a fan of Real Madrid, it's Real General Franco as far as I'm concerned. Real need to win as they are 10 points behind, just behind Atletico I think. Barca as vastly superior but quite a bit of complacency has slipped into their games recently. I think a draw is feasible.

Well For sure Zidane is doing a much better job than Rafa...specially on the long term... but it's still gonna take him and Real Madrid Time....
Barcelona is just going through a very good phase since Guardiola's Era...But I am quite sure once Messi, Iniesta and Alves will retire (specially Messi) it will mark the supremacy of Barcelona...
I mean just looking at the stats of both teams you can see that Barcelona is just going through a phase : http://www.real-madrid-vs-barcelona.com

P.S: I don't think Real Madrid will win this next Clasico...

My two fav La Liga sides go head to head tonight:

Atletico Bilboa v Rayo Vallecano (my el clasico )

Re Barcelona, by their high standards they have seriously gone off the boil.

Barcelona 1- 2 Valencia

Barcelona in a pickle

Quote:
02/04/16:

Barcelona 9 points clear
17/04/16:

Barcelona: 76 points
Atletico: 76 points
Real Madrid: 75 points

Barcelona only top on GD/H2H.

*scenes*

You know you're living in a messed up crazy world , when Leicester have lost less games and look more likely to win respective title than Barcelona.

"OK La liga, we get it your league is every bit as exciting as the EPL."

The crazy thing, because Neymar's basic wage is £77k / week without win bonuses (title, Cops del Rey, CL) and the possibility that he wins nothing is increasing, he may end up earning less than relegation plagued NUFC Jonjo Shelvey who is on £80k.
