As there are local council elections etc shortly most people interested will already be registered.

It's b..... unfair. They say I can't vote because I've been living outside of Britain for over 15 years, but I'm still a British citizen with a British passport and I live in Europe.

How is that unfair? I assume you vote in Denmark so why should you have two votes especially when you don't live here, I can't vote in Irish elections and I wouldn't want to I don't pay my taxes in Ireland or live there so why should I have a say in their affairs, I do have a sought after Irish passport though as do my English kids

It's unfair because I have no vote at all. I can vote for local elections here in Denmark and for who I want to represent the EU from Danish candidates, but I can't vote in Danish national elections or decide if Britain stays or goes.
As for taxes, I receive a small OAP pension, which I pay tax on.

So effectively you have no vote in either country which is incredibly unfair

I think so Cherie. I'm in a No Mans Land when it comes to voting and no-one I've spoken to about it, either in Britain or Denmark has been able to offer a solution. I could vote for national elections in denmark if I took Danish citizenship, but no way am I giving up my British passport.

There's an election for the Police and Crime Commissioners on 5th May. Hope everyone's registered for that. Last time the turnout was about 18%.
